Hello all!
Welcome to another edition of the iPocalype Insider! This is the post to read if you want to stay updated on the latest network news. A lot has happened since our last update, so without further ado:
1. New Logo – As you may have noticed, iPocalypse now sports a new logo which tells pretty much everything about iPocalypse in a single image! It relays that we provide a service many people are looking for: a safe, professional online chatting environment and community.
2. Site Revamp – This may not be as big as the switch we had last time from Joomla to WordPress, but along with the new logo, we have decided to revamp our site, making it easier to read and navigate, while at the same time, providing you with the information you’re looking for.
3. New Forum Software – We have made a switch in forum software, from PHPBB3 to IPB3. It provides us with exactly what we need in a forum, and hopefully what you’re looking for too. While the forum software is great, we also give you three great themes to choose between: IP Tech, Red Pro, and of course, the default IPB3 theme.
4. As you may have noticed a while ago, we have several additional staff members! They have been a great addition to the team, and we really hope they’ve enjoyed their time as a staff member as much as we’ve enjoyed working with them. You’re probably wondering who these additions are? Without any further waiting: Kat, mouse, jem, Karol and whoknew. Don’t hesitate to approach them for issues or inquiries that you may have and remember to congratulate them!
5. As the network is constantly growing, we have users connecting from all over the world, and so, to provide better connectivity, we’ve added Syntax (Secaucus, New Jersey; Syntax.iPocalypse.net), Zune (Chicago, Illinois; Zune.iPocalypse.net), MegaPixel (Los Angeles, California; MegaPixel.iPocalypse.net) and Binary (Kent, United Kingdom; Binary.iPocalypse.net) to our growing network. For the best experience, be sure to pick a server closest to you.
Lastly, this network wouldn’t have been successful if it weren’t for all the iPocalypse users. As a growing network, we are doing our best to give you the best experience as possible. Thank you for your continuing support and patronage!
Be sure to keep an eye on our website and Twitter account, many changes are coming to iPocalypse, and we hope you enjoy them! We have definitely not finished with the website, so expect more in the near future!
