Today is another one of those days where we are doing out with the old, and in with the new. We will be replacing our current flash client with one that will better serve everyone – both users and channel operators. The new client offers many new features that were not previously available in TFlash, such as easier nickname registration and even a channel management pop up.
We will not be completely removing TFlash, this is to allow channel owners with TFlash embedded on their website to transition over at a pace that is comfortable to them and their users, and also to allow for people who may not want to switch over to the new flash client. Having said that, we will no longer be offering TFlash through our Flash Chat Generator.
If you would like to have a look at the new flash client, or would like to generate code to embed it on your website, feel free to have a look HERE.
The exciting news does not end there! We have been working on an amazing project with Alain of PlayersCorner. You’re probably wondering what this great project is? Well, I’ll tell you. It is a web IRC client that we are calling WebSharp. It will require no plugins, only a JavaScript enabled browser! While the project is not yet public, we are looking for four more beta testers (Ares from #danceradio has already agreed to be one of the beta testers.) The requirement is that you are a channel owner, with a channel that averages eight or more users, if you meet this requirement, please leave a comment on this post with your IRC nickname and channel, so that we may get in contact with you when we are ready to begin testing. Positions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
To the people who don’t manage to get in on the testing – that doesn’t mean you won’t get a sneak peak at the client. One of the beta testers may decide to embed the client on his or her site, which means you’d be free to play around with it. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to request any features just yet – but you will be able to report bugs. Once the client is publicly released, anyone and everyone will be allowed to give feedback and request features. It will be a client driven by user input.

I would love to test out this client, it sounds like a cool idea!
My channel is #alastor which has 20-30 users average, night and day. I would be testing it personally, and leaving as much feedback as I can.
